Clinic policies

Policies:

  • Patient’s are seen by appointment only. Walk-in visits are not accepted.

  • Dr. Liz is not a primary care doctor and does not offer “after hours” consultations, nor can she provide emergency care. For Emergency or Urgent care concerns, please go to your nearest Emergency room or consult your PCP.

  • Dr. Liz requires all patients establish and maintain a relationship with a primary care provider (PCP)

  • Questions or concerns are answered through the patient portal and may take up to 72 hours for a reply.

  • Dr. Liz does not accept insurance at this time. Payment for visits is required at time of scheduling the visit, and may be reimbursed if the visit is no longer requested, with at least 2 business days notice.

  • For medication refills please contact your pharmacy. They will fax us a refill request. Allow at least 72 hours for all prescription refills. This means you really need to plan ahead!

  • The clinic is open limited hours and is intended for adjunct and supportive care only

  • Naturopathic doctors are not psychologists or psychiatrists. Dr. Liz engages in motivational interviewing to support improvements in lifestyle, mindset and diet, but does not directly address mental health needs. Wholegenic Wellness cannot act as a mental health provider.

Fees:

  • Refer to the services page for more information. We reserve the right to make changes in our fees and/or policies without advance notice.

  • You are welcome to message within your portal any questions you may have regarding your treatment. However, if the reply is more complex and requires more than 2-3 minutes to respond, you will be charged a fee for communications.

  • Blood draw, lab fees, therapy modalities, supplements, and herbs are in addition to the visit fee itself.

  • Unscheduled phone consults between your scheduled visits will be charged based on time and complexity. The first 10 minutes will be $65.

  • There is a $75 fee for missed appointments or cancellation with less than 2 business days’ notice. This cost will be deducted from the reimbursed amount from the original in-full payment.

Payment:

  • Your bill is your responsibility. You may pay your bill with cash, check or credit card (Visa or Mastercard). Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) are accepted.

  • Superbills are provided upon request, but we cannot help you submit these forms, nor is submission a guarantee of reimbursement by your insurance. You can contact your insurer to find out what coverage may be offered for “out of network” services.

  • Payment in full is due at the time of scheduling your appointment.

  • Many lab fees and nutritional supplementation will be ordered through 3rd party affiliates. You will be navigating payment with the labs or supplement companies directly in most cases.

  • Any herbal and supplement products provided in-house will be billed to you at time of service.

Medicare Policy:

  • Medicare does not cover naturopathic physicians. If you are on Medicare you will need to sign a contract that Medicare requires. We will provide you with that contract.

  • Please note that it is illegal for you to bill Medicare for charges from this office. Naturopathic physicians are not covered in the Medicare system.

  • Medicare does not cover any labs tests ordered by naturopathic physicians.

Right To Refuse Service:

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. We reserve the right to terminate care with notice provided if concerns were to arise.
